Following the successes of European Code Week http://codeweek.eu/news/2013/12/07/eu-code-week-video-from-switzerland.html we formed Coding Rockstars! An after school club committed to learning code!
Using @Hopscotch, an iPad coding environment our creative group quickly mastered the basics and began designing more complex animations and games. Their goal was to share what they had learnt by creating a short movie or tutorial to inspire others to learn code. The final session saw student applying their learning to Scratch and Makey Makey!
Our MakerSpace in school will continue where the club ended.
Hopscotch even featured in ‘We ARE GEMS World Academy-Etoy” our take on the Pharrell Williams classic.
