Mozilla Club Switzerland presented their work at their school Arts Festival.
The Make Fest featured hand on workshops facilitated by student leaders with the MakersJam crew running Beetle Blocks workshops.
3D Prints created in Beetle Blocks were displayed in jars filled with water, backlit by LED projections to create the effect of a cabinet of curiosities
The Graffiti installation displayed work from both clubbers and the ninth grade design crew. Stencils were designed with 2D design software and Processing and through collaborations developed into highly effective methods of communication a message, from the rise of DIY cultures to privacy and the open web.
The MakersJam has had a profound influence on our design curriculum this year and it’s refreshing to see how elements of the club experiences are interpreted and remixed into other aspects of the arts into the various workshops that took place. From MakerSpace and Graffiti wall to Tortilla Press print workshop.
MakersJam resumes next week where they will continue inquires with Raspberry Pi and the Sense Hat, Thymio Robot, Minecraft and BeetleBlocks 3D design and printing.
