Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world?

Yesterdayin the 7B Advisory session, they asked (and answered) the above question.

To begin, we watched the following TEDTalk from Jane McGonigal:

The central idea of Dr. McGonigal’s research is that gaming fosters collaborative problem solving skills in young adults which are needed to face many of the challenges in our modern society.

After screening the lecture, the students led a lively 35 minute discussion about the role that gaming and entertainment play in our everyday lives. They were highly engaged in the conversation and had some pretty interesting things to say about the value that games play in their lives.

Thanks Mr.CF for sharing this:)
